excitement! anticipation!

i'm a little bit psyched about something.
our church youth group is having a talent show at a local theater place (they do a lot of local music and plays and summer programs) to raise money for trips and stuff, and i'm going to perform.
my mom was on opera singer and she went to college for singing, so music's kinda my bag. i've been singing from a really young age and i've gotten to a point where it's not really a huge deal to get up and sing for people- i get nervous, but i can harness the nervous energy and use it to focus.
so anyway i'm gonna use this performing opportunity as a chance to try and push myself and impress everybody :D

i'm gonna be singing somewhere only we know by keane, my all time favorite band. there are other songs by them i like better, but i'm comfortable with this (no practice really needed haha) and generally people have heard of it even if they don't know it by name.
also instead of our chior director accompanying me like i thought, one of my piano-playing friends took the sheet music home to work on it! i mean seriously the music's not that hard and he's really good at piano.....and i think he tried to learn it in the past so he'll have it down soon.

i'm so excited cause he gets really into piano playing and he likes this song too, so i think he'll be able to bring a lot of emotion to it and between the two of us its gonna be really intense.


.....but i have a chem test tomorrow D:
if only school could just exist when it was convenient.
