chili cheese delicious, shaken babies

the past few days were awesome! thursday i went over to kevvie's (again lol) and once again, we watched sex and the city. it was fun as usual, but took an unexpected turn around dinner.
if you hold someone's shoulders and shake them while they sing the abcs-
it is HILARIOUS. SHAAAKEN BAAAABY!!!!!
i can't even explain how silly i sounded....it's an experience that needs to be had firsthand.

moving right along, i skipped off to choir practice only to realize my throat was extremely sore. all the excessive shaking and screaming might have had something to do with that. anyway after another terrible night's sleep (i'll elaborate in a minute), i woke up quite sick. as a result i stayed home and slept in until 1, missing beatboxers that came to school that day :(

well today i woke up and felt much better, so i went to hang out with a friend while he worked at the local ice rink. i had a chili cheese dog for the first time ever and it was AMAZIIING!!! i don't think my eating life will ever be the same.

in a little bit i'm gonna go off to see underworld with mo, but before that i wanted to share something irritating. the cause of my sleep deprivation is none other than my darling petunia!
that's right, my zune has been keeping me up. for some reason whenever i try to sync any music, the zune crashes. this started happening right after the software told me i had to re-format it (god knows why i had to do that). basically all the music will sync perfectly until it gets to the zune marketplace purchases, which is both ironic and very annoying.

well whatever. today's been pretty sweet so far, i'm not gonna let something like that ruin my good mood. off to read junjou romantica :3

smoothies, pelvises, assholes (in that order)

today was......interesting.
i've gotten back a few midterm grades- D in chem, C in latin and A- in english- so that was kind of a downer.
so to make up for it i headed over to see kevvy!!! (aka my portugese teddy bear)

we went over to a local ice cream place to get smoothies first, which was fun- especially since we almost knocked over a painting and a table and broke through a window while eating.
after that we skipped over to my modern class where i had the CRAZIEST ab cramps from the smoothies and laughing like a maniac at inside jokes...this was only aggravated by the 70 crunches we had to do D;
our teacher keeps talking about using our pelvises more and i think some of the advice is starting to manifest itself in my dancing, which is nice. i walked out to find kevin sprawled out hobo-like on the sofa out front of the changing rooms :D

so then we went over to babysit at my church...they needed people and i'd volunteered, so i figured why not bring a friend to help out.

except i guess i forgot about the fact that, in my church, everybody has a stick up their ass and putting your hand on somebody's shoulder means you wanna get in their pants.

i mean really....kevin (who is gay folks.....GAY....and it's kinda obvious after you talk to him...) pats me on the shoulder twice and the pastor's coming in to lecture us because he "knows we're a couple" (i quickly corrected him a little rudely) and doesn't want us to act "like a couple in front of the kids".
because even though i've known these people for ELEVEN FUCKING YEARS, they think i'm gonna be sitting on somebody's lap or letting them put their hands down my pants. in front of FIVE YEAR OLDS.

i don't know. if you wanna be an asshole and make rude, inconsiderate and downright insulting assumptions about somebody, go ahead and do it. maybe i'm overreacting, but i've given over 10 years of my life to this place and for them to think something like that about me....well i'm a little steamed to be honest.

i'm just looking forward to the day when i'm rich and successful and i can come back and shove it in the faces of everybody who's ever thought they were better than me. who's laughing now?

also-
me and kevin as a couple = HIRARIOUS!

again and again

this was a good weekend. no hw = no stress :D
i think my midterms went ok...i could have prepared better, but whatever.

so i saw mall cop yesterday, which was quite funny. i knew it would be as soon as i saw happy madison productions on the screen, and thankfully i was not disappointed. all i'll say is there's a scene involving slow motion and a hockey stick that made for some excellent action.

i also got some new headphones and a fashion scarf :D now all i need is a new purse...

black burning heart

i just got a zune pass and i've never been happier. i'm simply gorging myself on music- unlimited downloads as long as i'm subscribed, and 10 permanent ones every month!
i've gotten so many music recommendations, it'll take forever to get through everything. i love my friends BD

currently i'm in love with keane's newest album and since nobody's home i'm singing it at the top of my lungs. chem studying can wait :)

how it ends

my neck hurts. other than that these past few days have been super uneventful...i finished fooli cooli, which was good as expected. i'm gonna have to go out and buy a new black lagoon box set soon (i lent it to a friend who scratched it and felt bad so he kept it and gave me cash to buy a new one :D) in addition to new headphones.
i don't know. this week's been dragging....i haven't studied at all for midterms and i only have monday left. oh school, how you burden me.

i hate slow, monotonous days- the snow outside's so pretty but for some reason it's unsettling. i feel like something's out of place but i can't tell what it is. maybe all my unresolved stress is manifesting itself in back pain, neck pain or worry, but that knowledge doesn't really help things.
it it a problem that as soon as i run out of things to do i get depressed? i feel like boredom shouldn't be so dangerous.
if only all of life's problems had an easy fix.

tacos, movies, etc etc

today was a good day!
i had a latin test which i think i did REALLY well on, and a chem quiz which i don't think i failed.
after school i headed over to a buddy's house where we watched all the sweet fight scenes in kill bill 2 (snake attack and crazy bitch with an eyepatch?? yes please!) all of charlie's angels (2 torpedo attacks in the last 5 minutes) and the sexy bits of charlie's angels full throttle. and we had tacos and coffee ice cream BD

surprisingly i'm not super stressed out about midterms. all of them have mostly multiple choice, and my math one's only 63 questions (and we get both sides of an index card as a cheat sheet!). it might be because i've been paying more attention in class (or maybe just cause today was super relaxing) but the material hasn't seemed so tough lately. now all that's left is to study my ass off this weekend.

oh and we watched sex and the city, as usual.
how was your day?

catsbridesallergies

so this weekend i had a sleepover at a friend's house, which was nice since we haven't seen each other in about 4 months. we saw bride wars, which was pretty funny- go see it if you like silly movies that make fun of silly women obsessed with silly weddings xD
we also sat around and, over 24 hours, rewatched all of gravitation save for the first episode (which was not so great). it was a pretty good time.

however.....
i might be allergic to cats D:

while watching tv her cat was curled up all cute on the sofa, a few inches away from my face. i was totally ok with this (seeing as i LOVE cats)....until my eyes started getting itchy and puffy. i thought maybe they were just dry, but even after rinsing out my contacts they were still burning- until the cat left.
we're gonna go get me tested soon...i reeeeeally hope it's just a passing thing.

eeeeeeeehhhhhhhhh..........

so school just started up again today. i'm not too pleased.
i have a surprise history test tomorrow, which is annoying...mostly cause history is SOOOOO lame i always forget to take notes....especially american history....god that shit's so boring! i mean don't get me wrong, some history's interesting....personally i wouldn't mind spending a year learning about, say, japanese feudal history...but american independence? noooo thanks lol
so basically i get to spend the whole day reading a history textbook since i didn't know about this before vacation.
which sucks cause all i really wanna do is watch BUBBLEGUM CRISIS!!!!

i saw the first ova a few days ago and it was so ridiculous i wanna watch the next one immediately xD between that and fist of the northstar i somehow doubt i'm gonna get a lot of schoolwork done anytime soon....which sucks cause midterms are coming up in a few weeks.

i have so much stuff to do and so little free time....from working on me & mo's comic to catching up with manga to just keeping up with school stuff.......i want another vacation!!

dark knight

soooo me & the family went to see some friends today, rewatched the dark knight. we saw it on a 70 inch tv in blu-ray with full surround sound lol. my dad's friend's such a geek xD

anyway i'd forgotten how sweet both the music and the script were. the music during that scene where gordon's pleading with dent was so intense....and the little kid crying just made it (lol)
while it was a little distracting to see it in such intense hd (what with all the imperfections in people's faces, etc) i think overall it was nice to see all the actors' expressions and all the special effects so up close. the giant 18-wheeler flip actually took me by surprise, i'd forgotten all about it lol.

(spoilers)
the ending seemed a little quick to me this time around. the first time i saw it was in a theater with friends and i didn't know how long it was gonna be- since its such a long movie i was kinda expecting it to wind down and end when it did. tonight i was sorta surprised by how quickly it ended after dent's death, i guess i was expecting a longer speech about how the batman is whatever gotham needs him to be, yadda yadda.

i think i'll have to watch it again to figure out why, but something about this movie bothered me a bit. it certainly wasn't the acting....
oh i remember. i still don't fully understand why rachel was moved and what that whole situation with her, dent and the police was about. i didn't get it the first time i saw the movie, but i thought maybe i just hadn't been paying attention and had missed something. i know this time i was definitely watching closely, but i still somehow managed to not understand what went down when dent and rachel were tied up and rigged to explode. it's probably something simple, but i don't understand why the police moved rachel, where they moved her....i'm usually the one who explains these kinds of things to people, so i'm frustrated that i still don't really understand what happened, even after seeing the film a second time.
oh well. i'll probably go read some plot summary or have somebody explain it to me. despite not getting that (which is really irritating and would usually spoil the whole movie), i still really liked it.

i'm just glad to know the it has rewatch value. so many films are great the first time around, but when you know the twists are coming and stuff it's less exciting and seems to drag. or maybe that's just me.
personally i think what makes a really good movie is if you're rewatching it and, even though you know what's coming, the way events are built up and the suspense created around them makes it possible to still get on the edge of your seat in anticipation for what's next.

while it's in no way my favorite movie of all time (like i could ever narrow it down) i'm glad i could enjoy the dark knight a second time around. i'll definitely be picking up both the soundtrack and the movie when i can.
